Most real estate agents have never worked a bottling line or spent time inside a cellar during harvest. They haven't navigated the operational realities of production, sales or the regulatory nuances between a Type 02 and Type 23 license. Daniel Pressey has.
Over more than two decades in California's wine industry, from retail to production, Daniel developed a working understanding of wineries that extends well beyond real estate. He understands how buyers evaluate opportunities, why certain appellations attract stronger demand, and which operational details materially influence value.
When he transitioned into real estate, the focus was deliberate: represent winery and vineyard owners with the level of insight their assets require. Winery Exits was built on the belief that these properties are not typical transactions, and that sellers benefit from representation grounded in both industry experience and market knowledge.
Today, Daniel works closely with a select group of buyers and sellers across Napa and surrounding appellations. Each engagement is handled personally and with discretion, reflecting the nature of assets that often represent decades of work and long-standing family legacies.

Began with hands-on exposure to winery operations, including bottling line work and time in production environments. At the same time, developed a foundation in wine education and consumer engagement, building an early understanding of how wine is experienced and brought to market.

Transitioned into direct-to-consumer wine sales, working closely with clients and collectors to build long-term relationships. This experience shaped a clear understanding of buyer behavior and the dynamics that drive demand in the premium wine market.
Business Ownership
Wine Country Connection
As owner of Wine Country Connection, a Napa Valley wine retailer, Daniel built a business centered on sourcing, relationships, and service. This included developing close ties with producers, navigating multi-state compliance, and managing the operational realities of wine sales. He also gained further exposure to production through wines produced under a Type 02 license, deepening his understanding of both the business and operational sides of wineries.
